Lip product review! Smudge proof kisses.
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer and Lipsticks
RECKLESS- Is an MUA Brand Lip Lacquer and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This was my first buy of lacquer as for many years I had been using lipsticks and had the dreaded colour bleeding around my lip outline, since buying Reckless I'll always swear by the Lacquers. I'm on my second tube this year and do adore the colour it's so red and classy goes great with that little black dress that's been hiding in the back of your wardrobe. Goes very well with pale complexions and has a lovely coverage as well as being quite smooth when applicating. Rating: 9/10
TRANQUILLITY- Is also by MUA is another highly pigmented Lacquer and I do like the colour of this and it's also a brilliant coverage considering my lips are naturally a red colour. The one problem I've always had with this type of Lacquer it dries out after a while wearing it and can feel a bit gloopy if you apply a little bit too much, but this colour is a great nude for all skin tones especially if you like natural type colours. Rating: 7/10
ATOMIC- Another favourite of mine the orange tones make a difference to a typical red and would look wonderful on a night out or just making a small change to your routine make up, this lacquer is extremely bright and I love wearing it with simple pinup type make up and again very nice colour and coverage once on your lips perfect for summer and autmn. Rating: 8/10
KOOKY- A sultry spooky witch would wear this colour, I find it it quite bright and funky though the lacquer does look quite dark in the tube but remember not to judge a book by it's cover, the pigment is wonderful but again like most of the lacquers the mixture is quite thick to apply to your lips. Perfect though for Halloween or if you fancy gothing it up a little, makes pale people look pratically transluscent but I think the colour would compliment most skin tones, but is extremely difficult to get off without a bit of persistence. Rating: 7/10
SCARLET SIREN- Is an MUA Matte lipstick and I'm not to fond of it for a few reasons the lipstick looks quite red when it's in the tube but once you put it onto your lips you have to really put a few layers on to have that nice colour build up, also makes your lips quite dry so I would suggest a lip balm underneath. But I wouldn't say it was worth the purchase as I have only worn in twice the texture isn't to nice either and feels a bit corse on the lips, you also have to top it up quite a lot through the day as it easily rubs off. The only redeeming feature is the lipstick smells nice. Rating: 2/10
Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer and Lipstick
KEEP LYING FOR YOU- My first experience buying a lip lacquer that wasn't MUA and I must say I'm extremely happy with my purchase I love this colour something about the purple makes me feel wonderful, very happy with this purchase. The colour is very pigmented so you don't have to use a lot of it and spreads thinly and not to gloopy like most lacquers. I think the colour would suite most skin types and is wonderful for summer and quite different to the MUA Kooky purple. Rating: 8/10
VELVET BLACK HEART- I find the Black Heart a lovely mix between a blue, purple and black and I adore it. Smooth application and not to clumpy but quite hard to get off once on, very matte and excellent to Vamp up a little. But does smell a little bit like plastic, the lacquer does come in a cute bronze/ gold cardboard box making it look quite expensive. I've been wanting to try Makeup Revolution for a while and would highly recommend the products. Rating: 7/10
RECKLESS- The colour is a little bit more pinkish and lighter than I expected I was hoping as the colour in the tube is a misleading that it would be darker, much like a blood red. Easy application and goes on much more easily that the MUA Matte. The lipstick has a little pearl type shine and a nice soft texture when it's on your lips and smells rather fruity, all in all a very nice lipstick and the colour isn't to bad but I'm not a fan of pink or lipstick to much. Rating: 5/10
Thank you so much for baring with me and this long review! Hopefully with future reviews I will have a lot better pictures as the quality is awful with these. I really hope that I could help shine a light onto to certain products and your future make up purchases, I do recommend both MUA, Collection and Make Revolution as most of the make up has great coverage, pigments and smells lovely and they aren't to expensive all these items range from £1-3 so not to bad! Compared to prices you might pay with more expensive brands but if you do buy better brands don't be afraid to try something a little cheaper you might be very surprised. Until Next time my Daisys and take care of your skin!
Thank you again.
P.s.
Remember to wear smudge proof lipstick and lacquers when kissing all those boys and girls.

Introduction 2: My favourite products.
Hello there! It's my turn for my intro. I'm Evie, the other owner of this blog. I like horror movies, comic books, dogs and pin up fashion! Short and sweet, just like Beth, the other lady who runs this blog (heh). Though she isn't always sweet. ANYWAY! On to the favourites!
Mind the battered up mascara, but oh well! This W7 Eyelust mascara, it has a large brush and really adds length and volume to your eyelashes. It also smells of oranges which makes me very happy... just make sure not to get some on your upper lip of nose.
Onto the eyeliner! It's a liquid eyeliner from P.S. Love... the makeup brand from primark. Only costs a £1 and is still one of the best cheap liquid liners I have tried, I always try and pick other liners but always go back to this one, very pigmented, long lasting. Just wish it was waterpoof since my eyes water a lot of the time. But still my trusty favourite!
Now on to lipsticks! A girls best friend! The first is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in the shade 107. I am a sucker for a matte dark red lipstick, I bought this for Halloween and fell in love straight away. Goes on lovely, smells lovely and doesn't bleed very much. Absolutely stunning!
And last but not least, Makeup Revolution London Salvation Velvet Lacquer in the shade Black Velvet. I love lip lacquers so so much! They are highly pigmented, they have a Matte finish, they don't bleed. They are by far the most amazing thing to happen to makeup. It's a beautiful gothic gray/ purple colour, great if you want to vamp up your look a little bit. perfect for Autumn.
Now those are my favourites! Sorry if it's not fantastic, but I'm just getting the hang of it! But I do hope that you enjoyed the read and
So first off, my every day foundation is Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation in the lightest shade 100 Ivory. It provides a medium coverage and leaves a lovely dewy finish, but then can be mattified with a translucent powder. It also contains SPF 20 so it stops your face from burning or tanning, since I prefer to stay pale.
Next up is the Matte Nail Paint by Barry M in the colour Espresso. I don't really do glossy nails since I think they're a bit much, so this is perfect! Make sure to use a base before hand to make your nails even and smooth since it gets into every nook and cranny, but it leaves a lovely finish.
And the last image in the photo is a Maybelline New York 24 Hour Colour Tattoo gel/ cream eyeshadow in the colour Permanent Taupe. it's a little pot of cream that is highly pigmented

and I LOVE to use it for black and great smokey eyes and I also use it for an eyeshadow base if I'm using darker colours. Looks
lovely, really need to pick up the rest of the colours.
So most of you will recognise this palette as the very famous Urban Decays Naked 3 Palette dupe Makeup Revolution London Redemption Palette Iconic 3! I am very poor and can't afford the real deal, but I LOVE this palette nonetheless. I admit the pigment isn't AMAZING on it's own, but with a good eyeshadow primer/ base, it can look beautiful.

Introduction: A few of my favourite products.
Hello, I'm Beth one of the owners of Daisy Dames. This is my first post so I'd like to introduce myself I like cat's and drink a lot of tea, and also sketch a lot. I'm hoping to share some of my make up ideas, beauty and skincare regimes with you soon, but for now I'll just leave you with a few of my favourite products for now. Enjoy!
These first 3 items have been used extensively over the past few months, the Toner I used is a Body Shop Vitamin E hydration enriched formula. The reason it's one of my favourites is the fact that it get's any make up residue off easily and leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed unlike other toners I've used which have left my skin quite dry. the Hydrating formula is hugely important as I have eczema so anything that doesn't react with my skin is an A star for me! Also it smells lovely and is completely animal cruelty free.
The second item is a primer I bought a while ago which I will say is a must when you wear foundation always go with the primer that will minimise the blemishes on your face and also act as a grip making your make up last longer, like I have to go for a green based primer to cancel out the redness. I cannot say what brand this is but I got it from a make up store here in the UK quite cheap called Dazzle.
Now the last Item on this photo is a new foundation which I bought recently, it is honestly the best foundation I have used in a while after hunting for a rather pale yet in budget foundation. It's from Superdrug and is Ivory- Collection and is very kind to my sensitive skin the colour might look rather dark in the glass tube but when used lightly like I do it completely covers all blemishes, and isn't greasy and once dry it's quite matte and last's all day without a need to add anything more to my face. Would recommend for greasy and porous skin. You also only have to use a bit of it due to the pump so I'm hoping this one last's me a while!
Apologies for the long favourites, I really love the eyeshadow kit by MUA honestly I wouldn't go back to ever using pencil after investing in one of these, my eyebrows have never looked so neat. At first I always thought it'd be hard to fill in your eyebrows with a kit but the first time I found it super easy I love the fact that you get small tweezers and a neat double ended brush with both a small angle brush for the lining a filling, and then on the other side a small brush to use the lighter skin colours for instant precision and lift. The gel admittedly sometimes takes a little bit of the product off your eyebrows but using a finger and the tiniest bit of the gel to tackle stray hairs is probably the best way to do so instead of using one the brushes.
Now the concealer is Fair- Collection which is just a basic and cheap concealer that does it job of covering blemishes and spots not too greasy and very good coverage, and blends in with my natural skin tone rather well and sit's alright on top of foundation.
The nail varnish is a recent gift from Avon it is a gel effect varnish not anything like actual gel nails but the colour is really rich and I do like red quite a bit and it also last's a few days without chipping as long as you aren't doing extensive things such as constantly washing up, if so just top up the small chips and look at your lovely bombshell red glossy nails.
Now to my favourite part I really love lipstick and lip lacquer and these are a few of my favourites from the ones I own which I use quite a lot, as you can see they are all red. I do like red lipstick due to loving the old fashioned pinup/ rockabilly style, the first tube is a tinted chapstick. Great for if you are wanting a less subtle approach to bright red or a tint and also Collection have all different ones they are also scented, I like this one due to it tasting and smelling like strawberry it's good enough to eat. Haha! The next two are tubes of lacquer which are MUA I love the colours as well and the way they sit on your lips I only apply this twice a day when I wear it, and they have a lovely matte finish and great colour! Also when they dry and you get a nice clean shape when applying instead of the typical lipstick bleeding. They don't leave your lips too dry either but I would suggest in the upcoming cold months to apply a little chapstick or vaceline beneath the lacquer.I have quite a few of these now, the lip liner is also really good too along with the matte lipstick which has a screw off bottom to use as a less pigmented version of the lipstick.
So here they are all my favourite products that I have right now hopefully I'll be doing a small haul for christmas, and a few more blog posts will be coming soon as well as some beauty looks! All my products prices range from £1-6 I don't spend a lot of make up I just build my collection up and often only have to top up on a few things every so often. I hope you enjoyed reading this as well as I did writing it, cannot wait to start getting this blog up and running. Take care daisys!
